I think that BJD's are art in themselves. I mean face-up is definately art it takes precision and time. I'm a BJD photographer myself, I think they are great models and they always look great.

the whole argument over whether BJDs are art or not reminds of an art teacher i had she was a complete bitch if u drew anything that was already created it was "plagerism" even though it was fan art anyway i think BJDs are art someone put time into them and they're just too beautiful to not take pictures of

It's photography. Just because dA has a sub category for it doesn't make it it's own line of art. Photography is photography. That is unless you do you're own customizations of painting and clothing of the doll. Then it's showing off different lines of art.
